Hyundai Motor Deutschland continues its growth trajectory in electromobility. Despite a challenging market environment, the share of electric cars in Hyundai's registrations from January to April rose to 27 %, ten percentage points more than in the previous year and above the market average (17 %).
The average CO₂ emissions of new Hyundai cars fell to 90.5 g/km – around 21 % less than in the previous year, which brings the EU fleet targets within reach. In the same period, pure EV registrations increased by 45 %, placing Hyundai in third position among import brands in the e-segment.
The new Inster electric small car is a sales success: 70 % of the annual volume for 2025 has already been sold, with 2723 registrations by April, it ranks 7th among imported electric cars.
Hyundai plans to further expand its offering: The new flagship Ioniq 9 will follow in the summer, with the revised Ioniq 6 and the second generation of the Nexo hydrogen model coming later in the year.
